Summer sunset over the lake

Best part of living next to a lake is watching the bats catch bugs over the water at dusk- and sometimes catching a bat nap on our porch.  But they're too quick for my camera, haha.

 

It's been waaay too hot this week! It was 101 degrees today

 and we don't have air conditioning...

you know dogs can't sweat, right? We played in the water hose a lot!

Little Miss Badass here jumped thru the second story window because she was jealous of other dogs walking by. 

Luckily she didn't get hurt! She's a BAD DOG!!

Saw a baby great horned owl get chased from tree to tree by some black crows- crows are mean!! ☹️

It's been a long Monday! Fixing sprinklers, building the fence, 

seeding grass, digging holes, and of course not

letting the mailman murder her family 😂

Look at this pumpkin plant, it still has the seed shell on its leaf lol

 

Poopy really loves watching other animals- especially the wild turkeys that wobble around the neighborhood 😂 We also found  a lonely duck egg by the lake. I think it must be a bad egg because we already see ducklings swimming with their Momma.

And this is the weirdest thing she's ever shown me...

Do earthworms mate? 😲 at midnight in the garden

Exciting news 😄 the egg at the lake hatched!

And wow did someone have a crawfish feast on the shore 😲 like a dozen empty shells scattered in the rocks. Maybe it was raccoons?

Until she started barking incessantly- I thought she saw a coyote in the brush lol but it turns out she just really hates mushrooms 😂 aww!
